job searching and greek life

Hey so does anyone have good examples of when being in a sorority helped someone land a job after graduation? Especially outside of Iowa? And like does being in a top or bottom sorority matter when job hunting?
Also do employers really Google you and your social media and are "negative" things that come up considered deal breakers? For example (and this is the only example I can think of right now) has that pledge educator from Chi O who got drunk and peed in the yogurt shop been able to get a job or internship? I am worried that things that might come up in like Instagram could hurt my chances...

Don't do stupid things. The internet never forgets. I'm sure the whole Chi O pledge mom public urination incident will affect future employment opportunities. That's the worst type of 'bad internet PR' because there's no way to set stories in the newspapers and local news to private.

Make sure your digital footprint is clean. When you do get a job, don't invite coworkers to your social networking pages, only to your professional Linkedin page. Network with your sisters, get on linkedin and network with everyone you know. If you are going to a major city after graduation, find others from Iowa that are there and meet with them and see what's going on where they are working. Fraternities have been networking forever. It's time that sororities step up their game and get in on it. The men already have a club out there, it's called, "The Good Ole Boys Club". Ladies, we really have to work hard and network with each other. Not just your own sorority, but other sororities. Of course employers Google you. Why wouldn't they?
If you have questionable things on social media, take them down! Frankly, you shouldn't put it out there if it is questionable to begin with...keep it classy!
