by: HelpIk this is all about greek stuff but i was wondering if anyone could help. I want to know if having a car in college is essential or worth it. Especially here in Iowa.

If you're going to be a freshman and living in the dorm, no. It's just gonna be annoying paying for and/or finding parking, and you'd be the one giving rides to all your friends. Sophomore year and up: sure, if you're living in a house or apartment or something. It's good for groceries, going home, driving late to study, etc.
