im a freshman living off campus will rush be enoug

Im a freshman who's living in an apartment very close to campus , Im really social and friendly! But since Im not living in a dorm Im afraid it will be hard to make friendships. If I rush and join a sorority will I be good? Im not afraid to reach out to people but Im just a little worried!
