I believe SAE, Sig Nu,Delta Chi, and Phi Delt are allowed to come back next year. The new university rule will not let them live in their house for first 5 years. So they can come back but won’t be relevant probably unti year 4 when they can advertise moving back into the house during recruitment.

It would be a shame for the banned frats to sell their houses. Some of our old timer alumni recently said it was painful to go through the old greek circle and see how all but 3-4 of the houses have turned into apartments. Could some of the banned houses go the way of Acacia and not be held hostage by the school and IFC. You get enough to go that way maybe they could start their own governing body so nationals will allow it. who knows, just wish greek life was back to its glory days.

Greek life in its glory days? So back before lambda chi killed a pledge and turned iowa to a dry campus in the 90s? Frats coming back could follow the accacia path but they would not be able to part of formal recruitment so this would make it ver difficult to get numbers especially enough to fill a house. Probably best for chapters to follow that path as the university removes recognition that way they keep numbers. Also sororities might be scared to have socials with them as they would get in trouble.

Most if not all of them will sell their houses to whoever is currently renting. They may keep them and try to get back into them but that will be extremely hard to do.
