Nobody donate to Iowa

by:

Let's create a petition that vows never to donate to the university after we graduate. Spring of 2017 there were 22 chapters with 1550 people across all of IFC. Of the chapters that existed then, only 13 are left with a total of 934 people (doesn't include spring pledges). That is a 40% decline in less than 5 years, and very few chapters have grown since then. This is disgusting and Iowa needs to be held accountable in some way.

And even if you are on of the 5 chapters who have grown in that time frame, this concerns you to. The two trends we have seen are that 1. Big chapters get kicked off 2. Small-Mid chapters can't compete with bigger ones. Do we not see how this is a horrible combination where everybody loses?

The problem is the University is a dry campus and that reach also goes to fraternities and sororities. Iowa city works as a “bar college” which also hurts frats because why join if your only going to end up going to bars because you can’t have stuff at the fratcastle and we all know the house parties here are awkward and sketchy

Greek life was big at Iowa, talk to any of your alumni. Lambda chi had a pledge die on their front step and the campus went dry and slowly greek life has died. If you chose to go to iowa their Greek life you probably have better luck at Indiana, Illinois or any other school that has a wet campus.
