Liking a lower-ranked house

Should I join the lower-ranked house that I lowkey like better than the "higher-ranked" houses? Does rep matter that much?

Join whatever house you like the most based on the people, the only houses that actually care about the tiers and social rankings are the ‘top’ ones anyway. nobody else is that impressed if you say you’re in a top house
