The truth is not everyone can be a top house, it’s a hierarchy. For someone to move up someone moves down. Those top houses basically have to either get kicked off campus or do a really terrible job at recruitment (they probably won’t) to lose their status. And it’s kinda hard to compete with a big dogs social scene
