sorority rec letters

is it a thing to get rec letters for sororities here? I've heard some girls talk about getting rec letters for next year but i though only southern sororities needs letters.

You can get rec letters if you really want, otherwise its much easier if you just know someone already in a house you like, and they can recommend you. It doesn’t guarantee anything either way, but it can help.
