adpi
by: aI'm gonna be a freshman next year at either isu or iowa and I'm a legacy in adpi. I was looking at greek rank at isu and adpi is a pretty top house there, why isn't it here? weird how different schools can rank the same sorority so different

ADPi is just an all around better chapter at State. They simply attract cuter, classier, smarter and more personable girls than the plain jane UI chapter. However, if State’s ADPi girls were to hypothetically rush at UI they would probably not find Iowa's ADPi chapter appealing, and would instead opt for a classier, more academically focused and presentable chapter rather than the random, incohesive mix of girls in UI’s ADPi.

My roommate freshmen year went ADPi and says it's the right fit for her. They don't seem to be as intense about Greek life as some of the other top houses. They definitely aren't considered a "party house" but at the end of the day, everyone can go out in Iowa City. ADPi is ranked 3rd for grades, so I'd say they're pretty academically focused and have a lot of involvement with things like DM. You definitely get a random group of girls with that chapter, but you could look at that as either a positive (you'll find people you'll get along with) or a negative (there's some rotten apples).
I'd go in with an open mind. Don't dismiss them, but if you find other houses you like better, go there. Don't feel obligated to rush a house just because you're a legacy.

The ADPi house at UI has a pretty large range of girls, and the house is lowkey. Some girls go out some dont, but they’re pretty high up in grades so are well focused. All the girls ive met are really nice and are involved in several different things on campus. The house doesn’t get as much attention as it should, but definitly isnt bottom.
