Another Fall 2020 Tier List
by: CRM
Fraternities:
Top Tier:
Phi Psi
Sigma Chi
Sigma Chi has the possibility to take the advantage if they continue to recruit the right guys and play smart.
Upper Middle Tier:
Theta Chi (on the way up)
Kappa Sigma (holding steady)
Phi Kappa Tau (on the decline)
Upper mid tier rankings will continue to be fluid over the next year or so. Theta Chi has made big moves in the past year, Kap Sig has the potential to capitalize. If Phi Tau wants to hold position, they will need to step up their involvement and drum up interest.
Lower Middle Tier:
Phi Delta Theta (rising fast)
Sigma Pi (rising)
Kappa Delta Rho (on the decline)
The fight for mid tier boils down to numbers. The Phi Delts are pulling in new blood and are on their way up fast. Good recruitment in the spring will see them upper mid tier next fall. Sig Pi is also making moves to grow, and has big potential. KDR on the other hand seems complacent and stagnating.
Bottom Tier:
Phi Sigma Kappa (rising)
Phi Mu Delta (on the decline)
Acacia (on life support)
PSK pulled big numbers this semester, they will break into mid tier if they keep up the good work. PMD has a nice house, but a physical location won’t save a chapter poised to die out. Acacia needs to pull bodies off they want to continue.
Sororities:
Top Tier:
Delta Zeta
ASA
Not much to say here, they both have remained relatively steady.
Upper Middle Tier:
Delta Gamma
Alpha Gamma Delta
Alpha Xi Delta
Upper mid will see fluidity in the next few years. These three seem to have settled in their respective spots for now.
Lower Mid Tier:
Sigma Kappa
Alpha Sigma Tau (on the rise)
Zeta Tau Alpha
The line between upper and lower mid tier is very thin. AST is clearing their own path up the list. Two more good semesters of recruiting the right women with the same drive is key. ZTA has the potential to grow, IF they can get on the same page and recruit the right women.
Bottom Tier:
Sigma Sigma Sigma
Delta Phi Epsilon
Theta Phi Alpha (possibly on the rise)
Recruitment for these three chapters is especially critical this year. Theta Phi Alpha got good numbers, if they can get more involved and retain sisters, they COULD rise up. Tri Sig is holding, they will benefit from a building semester. DPhiE also needs another semester of good numbers and retention.
