Honestly I think ZTA will be fine - but it's not going to be easy for them. No matter who your national organization is, it's hard to start a new chapter. Period. Sure, there are girls who probably rushed ZTA for the wrong reasons (wanting to be top, wanting ZTA to be another version of KKG etc.) but hopefully their nationals will see through those women. I really don't think they'll be any worse off than AOPi right off the bat.

I think the commentor means that claiming they build strong chapters is something pointless to say. Clearly they had already failed on this campus once. There are plenty of weak chapter on this campus that normally have strong chapters elsewhere. Some chapters on this campus are bottom tiers but are top tiers everywhere else, you never know how they'll be here so you can't claim just because they had the national pres here that they'll be star spangled awesome instantly and will always be the case

I know a lot of girls are angry and upset about zeta but it was really competitive and not everyone was guaranteed a bid. As for zeta, they have a 6 week intense sisterhood period for all the new members to get to know each other, and after that they already have socials and swaps planned. They also are taking back the pike house and doing majoooor reconstruction, and they'll have a (redone) annex house in the mean time. I'm annoyed to see how many people want to see them fail, instead of embracing and accepting the new members of the Greek community.

They are not taking back the pike house until the lease is up. They said they don't want to make enemies with them, so they are letting them keep their lease. And most houses don't have an annex. They have a house that a bunch of sisters live in, but no annex. Not like the annex could associate with the sorority.

What I meant is that they bought the SAE annex on summit that they'll redo over the summer while they wait for the Pike house. Obviously it's not as cool as having a house already but they have awesome plans to be a presence on campus. And I'm pretty sure they worked out a deal with Pike to get them out of the house sooner

I think it is absolutely ridiculous people have to be so rude. First of all, it is not your life to be living. These girls are happy where they are and for the ones who aren't, maybe greek life just isn't for them. Second, I highly doubt it will be one of the worst houses on campus. Although they are new and need some work, I see ZTA being a top tier in no time. Their options are to go big or go home and I am positive they are choosing to go big. Not only that, but this sorority is absolutely gorgeous. Inside and out. Over 550 girls rushed ZTA and only 194 of them were chosen. It wasn't based on looks, it was based on Academics, Leadership and Service. So when you see them, know you're seeing not only a pretty face but an intelligent and kind woman as well. It is so sad to see people bashing on a new chapter here at OSU instead of helping them. You would want the same thing if you were in their position. I think they will be just fine if not showing up a lot of other sororities here on campus. They know exactly what they're doing and what direction they want to head. So, nice try.
Also, most of these girls are not rejects. Most did not even go through formal recruitment here at OSU and the ones that did probably didn't like the houses that they got. Who are you to say those houses weren't top tier ones either? I hope next time you can be a little bit nicer and maybe you'll be lucky enough to get to know a zeta.
