The girls I've talked to in aphi have all been really nice and fun although I can tell they're a little fake. I hear a lot of good and bad things about them but I just want an honest opinion of them to see if I'm wasting my time?

There will conflicting opinions on them just like every sorority. If you like them enough to be this curious then keep pursuing them and let the recruitment process play out. You will meet more girls and end up seeing more about them where you can make your own opinion whether or not they fit you. Don't worry about what you read on a site, try to make the judgements yourself for it will help in long run no matter what sorority you end up joining.
