by: PnmSo I really want a top chapter and right now I still have all 3/4 (if you consider a phi as top). I had a full schedule and was able to drop the lowest 3 chapters. Does it look like I'll get a top tier bid?

If you maximize your options after pref round, you're guaranteed a bid. Might not be from your #1 choice, but you will get a bid. So if you attend 3 at pref, and write down 3, you get a bid. Attend 2, write 2, get a bid. Attend 1, write 1, get a bid.
If you don't write down all your houses, you have a chance of not getting a bid.

There's really no way of knowing. when I went through, on the second round I only had 7 chapters and only one was top and I only had "bottoms" and a few "lower mids" other than that. I got a bid. Another girl in my rush group though had a full day of invites second day with all the top tiers. She ended up in a lower mid chapter. Which there is absolutely nothing wrong with
