Dear pnms,
So the first weekend down, and talking to some of my rhogam friends, i already know a fair share of you cried because you got dropped from your dream house. Well guess what, suck it up. A lot of you come into this with a dream house in mind, I know I did, and get cut and you cry and quit recruitment. You know nothing about those sororities besides the rumors you hear. And at this point you've talked to a sorority at most 80mins if you did fall preview. That's not enough time to choose the sorority that's "perfect" for you. Not even at the end of pref round is enough time. You'll total be talking to a sorority for about 3hrs. And those people talking to you are expertly matched up to you by interests so that you like us and want to come back. So clearly the houses you 'love' are better at matching you specifically than others. Now, sometimes the line gets mixed up and you don't get match with your real girl, but that shouldn't matter. Now, when I went through recruitment, I def wanted to be in one house before rushing. They cut me first round. I was so upset. I only got invited back to 6houses. I kept going on. The place I got a bid from I didn't love on bid day. I didn't even love it when I was initiated. But I love it now. And my friend who got into the house they 'loved' during recruitment hate their house now. Sometimes the houses you want most are the ones you hate later on, and the houses you don't care for going through, end up being the perfect match for you

This is reality. I too got cut from my dream house suicide a house I wanted but didn't love. Finally forced myself to get involved and ended up loving it and by the time I was a jr. could not see myself in my dream house. So this can happen to anyone. The houses are really are so similar esp. if you are looking for friendships. So just chill and whatever house you land in make the most of it.
