possibilities of getting a top house
by: questionsI'm a PNM and am excited about recruitment. I know everyone says to keep an open mind, which I will, but what are the possibilities of actually getting into a top house as long as you don't matter what the house is? Like if someone put DG, Phi beta Phi and Aphi or whatever other top house as their top 3 favorite houses, whats the odds that they would get into one of them? I'm just curious because even though everyone says keep an open mind, they also act like it is next to impossible to get into a house that is "top tier"

Well..it doesn't sound like your keeping your keeping an "open mind," but yes honestly if you aren't picky about which top house you get, you have a pretty good chance of getting a bid to one...as long as you aren't awkward, can carry a convo and are decent looking. First cuts are the hardest to reevaluate after that what you really want from greek life.

So there's 4 top houses you're interested in, who can each take a pledge class of about 65 to 70, depending on quota. That's about 265-300 spots for about 1,400 PNMs. This doesn't take into account class rank or GPA. If you don't keep an open mind, you'll be setting yourself up for hurt feelings.

well, while a lot of girls who frequent this site want a top house..there are also girls like me who did NOT know about this site while rushing. not every girl goes into rush specifically wanting pi phi or dg so that does help even things out a little
