letters of rec

How do letters of rec work? Do current members that you know write them or do alum write them? And does anyone have any firsthand experience with them?

For letters of recs, most sororities only allow alumni to write them. You don't write them yourself, otherwise everyone would write one about how star spangled awesome they are. If a current member is allowed to write them, she'd have to be from another campus, because that's dirty rushing and sororities can get into HUGE trouble for dirty rushing. Sororities always get caught every time so it's not even worth the effort.

If you are getting recs, you need to have the Alums submit them NOW. If you wait until Christmas, we probably can't use them.
