I doubt they would risk taking Kappa's babies, it could look bad on them- kind of like Sammy trying to recolonize under a new name. Plus national organizations don't pick women based on whether they were in a "top tier", they judge them based on their sorority's values.

At my school a bunch of DDD new members left and joined the A Phi colony. They're now top tier and one of the DDD babies became chapter president. Starting a colony can be an amazing opportunity and anyone with leadership skills should strongly consider it. A Phi's are killing it, won every Derby Days since we were a colony (4?) Also it didn't do anything for our rep other than really piss off the DDDs and cause a lot of talk about Phi. If this is true about ZTA I really wouldn't worry about it. The worst thing you can do is initiate into a sorority you don't fully love.

I've talked to several kappa pledges that want nothing to do with underground kappa (the smart ones). Many are skipping FR and going straight to ZTA. ZTA colony needs members that know how sororitys work or at least how they are supposed to work. PNM GAME STRONG for kappa pledges wise enough to disassociate from old KKG!!!

Go ahead and keep hating on them for history they had nothing to do with. Those babies are strong, smart and driven. They were robbed and they know it. They also know how much you hate them for absolutely no good reason.
My brothers and I will enjoy watching them band together under common letters and outrank you hateful small minded people.

I personally think it would be foolish for phi pi to pick up the kappa babies..they're kind of like sloppy seconds

Whether the Kappa pledges go through Zeta's recruitment and whether they are accepted are two different things. Also, since they are new, all Zeta pledges will be watched very closely. Their nationals will have a presence on this campus for a few years so Kappa hazing / Kappa underage drinking can't happen.

I honestly could not agree with you more. I don't think if zeta knows they're kappa babies that they'll take them just because of the hazing/underage drinking scandal surrounded around them. I don't think any sorority would take that risk. Plus, how would the other chapter, like pi phi, even know they're kappa babies. I redoubt pha would put that on there info sheets. If they're not putting he info down, then basically any sophomore and up could go into recruitment and say they're a kappa babie. And then what happens? Pi phi picks up all the "kappa babies" and they have a pledge class like 4 years ago, where they were all hidden away and was a laughing stock to Greek life because they weren't "cute" even though pi phi initially thought they were.

That's what I'm saying. Even though extension recruitment is after formal, they definitely still cut people. They can't take everyone who signs up. Any association with KKG just doesn't look good for Zeta. I'm not saying they won't take some of KKG's pledges, but would ZTA want to already be associated with trouble? No.
