pi phi / dg

'best girls' is arguable.. but to answer your question, they do recruit great girls, but have different personalities... so i would say no..not much cross preffing between the two. maybe between dg and aphi...and pi phi and theta.

First of all, since you go back to up to three houses for pref, things will be all over the place. Rarely do girls pref 3 top tiers. More often, girls that pref top houses have 2 top and 1 middle or 1 top and 2 middle.

You will get some girls that cross preffed DG and Pi Phi, but I agree that it was more DG/APhi and Pi Phi/Theta. Last year I knew a lot of girls that were Pi Phi/Theta/either XO or AGD and Kappa/Theta/either XO or AGD and a bunch of others that were DG/KD/DDD or DG/APhi/DDD. Without Kappa in the mix this year, anything can happen

PiPhi, DG, Theta, Aphi, KD are the "big-5" houses. Anywhere there, the girls are more or less the same.

PiPhi, Theta are more "classy" and cross pref.
DG, Aphi, KD party more and cross pref.

If there is a Big 5 and it includes KD, there is nothing "big" about it. It's the Big 4 + 1 wanna-be.

KD has always been part of the top 5. If you went to this school you would know that.

Maybe back in the day when Old beta and Sammy were still on campus KD was considered solid top tier. I am a senior and can say since my time here they have always been considered "upper mid tier" and not significantly better than Chi Omega. Not saying they are a bad chapter at all but very few people in the Greek community would consider them solidly top tier.

The top tier consists of Pi Phi, DG, Aphi, Theta and up until they got kicked off Kappa. The order doesn't really matter. Guys have personal favorites and want to do events with these four chapters so being #1 vs. #3 is not really significant.
