I saw yesterday they put up fences all around the Sammy house on Iuka..

Any idea what they're doing? Or is it just for security purposes?

I was told by a distinguished alum that the house is under renovations on the inside and the house has been stripped down to bare walls.

It's going be reopened in 2016

I was told through FB messages with an alum that the house was reopening in 2016... Could be right.

The house itself is owned by dozens of alum, I doubt there's any chance another chapter could purchase it

The person that said they're cutting it in half is wrong

they're not wrong they're splitting in half its been told to most of the greek community that it will become 2 houses for fall 2016. For either sorority or fraternity

It's being split into 2 houses. Half will be Sammy the other half may be apartments. I don't know if the plans are set in stone but they are definitely making it into 2 buildings.
