is it worth it?

by: Sophomore

I'm doing informal and I was wondering if there was any point in going to the events of a sorority if one of its members dislikes me. Would I still have a chance of getting in, since she is just one out of over one hundred girls, or would her bad opinion of me be enough to get rid of any chance of my getting in?

First, that person may never see you or your name during informal where she probably will during formal. We are doing COR and not everyone in the house will participate because we would overwhelm the PNMs in sheer numbers.

Also, there are 5 houses so why would you discount informal when only one member of one house apparently doesn't like you.

I just meant that one house- I would still go to the others.

You might actually LOVE that house and get a bid and then you girls might end up being friends. I've seen SOOO many girls hate each other in the beginning and then become close. Even within their own house. It's hilarious actually.. "omgggg remember when we used to hate each other!?!??! LOLLLLL now you're #bae <3"

my house isn't doing COR, but we send out the name of each girl for this exact purpose before we extend a bid to her. and yes if an active came forward and said it would make her overwhelmingly uncomfortable, we wouldn't offer you a bid

What did you do to make her dislike you? Is it minor?

I honestly have no clue- I've barely ever even talked to her. I just heard from a mutual friend that she does, and she has gone out of her way to avoid me before.
