how many parties do fraternities usually throw?

by: Sophomore rushee

Im a sophomore transfer and im rushing a couple of fraternities and i know its pretty early in the week. But i dont know many people here and i've gone to the dry rush events, do fraternities usually throw one every night? I dont want to miss out on these since it'll definitely hurt my chances for a bid.

No fraternities throw open rush parties except smaller ones that need to recruit hard and are willing to break the rules. You have to go to their dry rush events and be invited to their welcome week parties privately. If you have showed up to at least two rush events, talked to a large amount of actives, and we're not invited to a party or given a bid they probably don't want you.

Everybody is going to "seem to like you". Even if They have no interest in a rush they aren't going to be rude to him. If they are giving you their numbers yes that's a good sign, but ideally they should be asking for your number. Make sure you meet their rush chair and express that you are very interested in joining.

Small frats will have parties once a year, but hardly any sorority will want to pair with them, so you'll have a lot of lonely night of doing nothing. If you want to party hit up medium to large frats. Stay away from Lambda Chi Alpha, Delta Upsilon, Delta Chi and other small frats like them. Honestly, the frats that will have the parties will already be having socials right now, like Fiji, Phi Tau, Pike, Theta Tau, Phi Psi. The smaller ones will only have a couple of events a semester...so like once a month.Plus the smaller frats will basically give a bid to anyone so don't feel special
