Not a typical list for informal but good news for Sophomores and some Juniors. Pi Phi, XO and AGD will pretty much look for Sophomores. AXO/DZ will take some Juniors.
I know some of those houses graduated a lot of girls so I'm not too surprised they are under total.
Better make sure your grades are good if you are interested in the top and mid tier houses because they will be the most selective in who they take.

At the involvement fair and from events I attended as a freshmen last school year (I'm a sophomore who didn't rush last year) I really liked XO, AGD and Pi Phi. I know there are other houses but if those three are really doing informal, would you all recommend I go through informal since I do like those three houses? Or would I have a slim shot since they are taking let girls I assume than they do during formal. I want to be a part of a house ASAP but I would hate to go through informal recruitment, then get cut and be unable to visit that house again during formal (I'm sure they remember the girls they cut...) :/

While houses do take less girls during informal, keep in mind that during formal recruitment, girls (especially top and upper mid houses) usually take a lot of freshmen rather than sophomores...so your odds may be the same since even though there will be less girls during informal, they will all be sophomores or maybe juniors. I didn't know Pi Phi was doing informal but they are usually a more selective house. You said you attended some events there as a freshman so I'm assuming you have friends in that house? If so, that could also help you no matter what house you are interested in. Bid day is 100% more exciting for winter PCs but if you are looking to join a house ASAP then check out informal. All 5 houses mentioned in the post above have some great ladies! :)

While we remember those we cut, it might be because we have a very limited number of places. It doesn't mean that we don't like you. Maybe your GPA is lower than those we pledged and we really want to keep our grades up.
It doesn't hurt to go through informal. There is a great selection of houses to choose from in these 5.

In the past year or so it has been AxiD, Tri Delt, AEPhi, and AOPi (but I have friends in AOPi and they aren't doing informal because theyre at total)... Just track their social media or email their VP Member Recruitment if youre interested in a particular chapter
