I think the inside will probably be better. I drive down 15th all the time and there's a ton of people going in and out. I'm not sure how it'll affect their recruitment because personally, I think they did fine without a house lol. For their first year, I think they're impressive. Maybe I just have a soft spot for gamma phi, it can't be easy being new on campus.

Not if the two new sororities we're getting in 2017 or a larger fraternity takes them before then.

1) there's no way two sororities would be allowed to colonize at the same time, and they would have to go through the same process of not having a house right away just like gamma phi has done.
2) landlords would much rather lease to a sorority than fraternity. Fact.

You're definitely right, any sorority that comes to Osu will have to go through the extension recruitment process and colonization. This happens after formal recruitment, and obviously whatever sorority it is, be it Zeta, Phi Mu, ADPi, whoever, will not have a house right away. Like, let's not get ahead of ourselves people.

1) PHA is almost definitely adding two colonizing chapters in 2017. It was either one or two before Kappa was suspended, and now is anticipated to be two chapters. While the new chapters won't have a house at first, they will certainly sign a lease after a year or so for a house in order to remain competitive.
2) It depends how long GPhi's lease contract is for their current house. Either or both sororities that colonize in 2017 might rent out the better houses before GPhi's lease is up. And I very much doubt their lease is shorter than 5 years.
But it really doesn't matter. They are in ATO's house as of now and that doesn't look to be changing anytime soon. Might as well make the most of it.

I also heard they might buy that house next to ATO and build a new house. Who even knows?

Our Chapter Advisor has also said PHA is looking at 2 in 2017. I don't know if that means they will stagger them or if they will colonize at the same time. The latter would be chaos, though

Sigma Delta Tau is submitting their application for colonization. Their old house is between DG and AXO, but since they no longer own the house, I don't know if they will get it back. Maybe they can rent Kappa until they buy one.
Zeta and ADPi still own their houses and they look better on the outside than the current Gamma Phi House. Phi Mu doesn't own their house any longer -- hope they apply too since they were on campus a very long time. Their old house is between AXO and Alpha Sigma Phi

Which one is ADPi's old house? I can't think of another big one on 15th, unless a fraternity is currently in it.

Not hating them at all because of their house. I'm just saying I feel bad for them because I personally wouldn't want to live in it. It will make recruitment tougher for them and I sincerely hope they are able to remodel the inside well enough to make up for the outside. Proper landscaping should help as well.
It's like recruitment in general: looks aren't the most important thing, but image DOES matter. And lets be honest, the chapters with the best, prettiest physical houses tend to do better during recruitment, like Kappa and Theta.
