rush question

How do people get to know all the different frats? From what my friend told me they all have the rush events on the same days at the same times...

Are you a freshman? If so you have all first semester to go to different rush events and just get to know the different fraternities. If you're a sophomore and never have rushed before go to the involvement fair or ask people you know in greek life their opinions.

Thanks for the answer. I am a transfer and going to be a sophomore. Is this involvement fair my only opportunity to get to know them? After that do I have to narrow my search to one frat?

I'm gonna transfer spring semester of my freshman year, so I think that means I can rush in the spring but I wouldn't have had all fall to look around. What should I do in that case?

You can usually tell how a fraternity is after one or two rush events. You don't have to go the whole time either. Just find a few, check them out then narrow your search as the week progresses.

spend 30-45 minutes at each house and bounce around. Feel the vibes if youre starting to find that youre getting along well with the guys and they say "make sure I see you tomorrow" or little things like that, that means that youre doing well. Off of that youll be able to eliminate it down to 2-3 places or maybe 1 if it all works and then you would rush those specifically for the next week or two.
Just take in what rush has to offer and find a place where you find things in common with the guys not just "where you wanna be"
