fall rush
by: ...This is for fraternities, but I guess can go for both. I am a transfer student from UC and would like to rush and hopefully find a house. When is there a activities fair or w/e OSU has where you get to know which frats have openings and stuff, and also when does the Fall rush usually take place.

If you fit in and they like you they'll give you a bid if they don't they won't it's as simple as that. It all depends on the person really and the fraternity some are more selective than others transfer students shouldn't have a problem

It was kind of covered above, but most chapters (just the frats, here) are willing to take as many guys as they like, as opposed to cutting off at a certain number. Unless you're aiming for a super-exclusive "top-tier" house.

Very good comment, thank you. Hopefully you or someone can answer this one: is it hard to find a spot in a fraternity? I'd imagine a lot of the spaces for a spot in the frat are filled with someone they know from previous semesters and that transfer students are pretty much screwed.
