transfer student

by: Jay

I'm a transfer student from Miami who wasn't involved in its Greek scene. I was wondering if transfer students get a shot at joining all the fraternities at OSU.
I ask this because at Miami U if you weren't a freshman (unless you had an "in" with a frat) you were pretty much excluded from joining frats even if you had a legit reason or transferred in.

Are you a sophomore? If so you'll be fine since every fraternity does fall rush and freshmen can't join. They just take smaller classes. So yeah the chances are smaller, but you'll have a shot at all of them

Yes I am a sophomore. Is it an insanely smaller chance, or just a little smaller? I'm sorry for the 20 questions.

Most fraternities will have maybe 70% of the kids for their fall class already chosen before autumn semester. So yes the chances are a good amount smaller but if you're a cool dude you still have a shot.

Thank you for that encouraging post. I deffinitly will rush and just see where it goes. Thank you all who've responded. It's refreshing to see OSU's Greek life is filled with nice individuals instead of "bros" who just fight.
