alpha phi informal?

I'll be a sophomore in the fall and really interested in doing informal, with hopes of joining alpha phi if they participate. I've heard a lot of talk of them doing informal, but if they don't and just do small unannounced things, how do I go about finding out about it?

Why would you want to join a chapter where everyone hates each other and 1/3 of the pledges drop?
