legacy

by: ZTA

I am a freshman and I didn't rush this year. But will rush next year I know that ZTA use to have a house at OSU and wondered if anyone has heard if they will ever come back to Ohio State or how does that happen? I'm a legacy and would love to be a part of to carry on the legacy

ZTA still owns their house but right now, PHA has not opened up to another extension. If they do, Zeta will need to determine if they and interested and PHA will determine select which sororities they want to present. When Gamma Phi presented, Phi Mu was the only other sorority that did.

That's false. Gamma Phi was one of Panhellenic chapters that presented to OSU for extension. Zeta Tau Alpha was one of the 7 in the running, but they did not have a feasible housing situation at the time because AOPI occupied their house. PHA narrowed it down to a final two, Gamma Phi and Phi Mu. ZTA has taken action to prepare for the next round of extension at Ohio State. AOPI was successfully relocated, and they let Pi Kappa Alpha rent their chapter facility for the next 4 years hoping that, within that time, ZTA will be ready to come back to campus.

If zeta wanted AOPi house, they can take it. ZTA owns it. AOPis contract was up. I know this because in in AOPi. Plus ZTA didn't like AOPi because we took their place when hey we're kicked off. Plus, Osu won't bring back ZTA and if they do, it won't be for some more time

OP, even if an extension was voted on, and ZTA won, it would still be a few years until they would make it back on campus, so you could conceivably be a senior or have graduated at that point. There are a number of wonderful sororities here now, so that would be your best bet if you are interested in Greek life. BTW, keep your grades up, get involved on campus, polish up that resume, and get to know some Greek women, as sophomores have a tougher, but not impossible, time going through.

Gamna phi said during recruitment that the university signed a five year exclusivity contract to not allow a new chapter for 5 years to allow them to establish themselves. My guess would be that it would be awhile before zta would ever come back

Another sorority is expected to colonize in the 2017-2018 school year. But GPhi told a lot of mistruths during recruitment, especially regarding their plans for their new house. So I'm not surprised.

What were the other mistruths?

The only mistruths are the ones being spoken here.

Maybe Zeta Tau Alpha can come here early and use Kappa's house since they're not going to need it anymore.

That's bs, because PHA is already looking to extend another bid. Phi mu and tri sig have expressed interest already. My friend is in phi mu and wants to transfer to Osu but doesn't want to leave the Greek system, so if phi mu comes then she will be able to transfer

AOII had their house done through home team and it looks beautiful. I'm sure gphi will be able to do much more than what you suggest. They're able to alter the house with the lease that they signed, just like AOII. And lol no way in hell ZTA would get kappas house. No new chapter would be able to support a house as nice as that. Plus kappa owns the house. They'd rather it be empty than have ztas there

they're getting kicked off so they might as well as rent it out. a sorority would be a much better tenant than a fraternity!

Can definitely modify their house! They're not gunna let it stay the way ATO has kept it. AOII's house is really nice in the inside-you'd never know it was a frat house before hand.

ZTA most likely will never be allowed back at OSU. Not only were the whoring themselves out in that house they also killed a pledge before they were investigated for being a brothel.

As someone who served on PHA. Osu will start the extension process again next year with another chapter joining Campus in 2017. There was no deal with gamma phi either.

Phi mu is doing a presentation soon about extension again, probably other sororities too

I'd heard rumors about them whoring themselves out and using the house as a brothel before that girl died. Does anyone know what they actually did? I always wondered.

Zeta left around 1990. I wasn't even born then and if you were, you are a troll.

Honestly, it is cool to carry on the tradition, but you really should rush anyway because it wont be back in the near future. I am a ZTA legacy as well, but I found a home in another chapter and am so happy!
