The way greek life is right now, every house is walking on thin ice.
It's just a matter of time before something happens to "your" house.
Look at what just happened with Kappa it took only 4 girls to ruin if for like the entire chapter.
Not only does each house have to worry about their members they have to worry about those snitches out there sending in possible compromising pics to get other houses in trouble.
Enjoy your freedom now, because you never know when your social calendar will come to an end.

This nothing new in the past three or four years. I do feel bad for the girl involved in the accident and Kappa. However when/if your chapter knowingly does events or engages in actions that could potentially get you kicked off you need to weigh the benefits vs. the risk of sopro/getting the boot. Sometimes the risk is worth it and other times you need to step back and realize this isn't the Greek life of the 80's. It sucks but we are under extra scrutiny. You also need to take extra precautions to make sure everyone involved is safe. Maybe have a sober sister watch the babies to make sure they get back home in one piece.

Yes we live in a time where the general public/media/university administration is anti-Greek. However Beta got kicked off for physically assaulting pledges and Sammy had issue after issue and still had events while on probation. So really if your chapter isn't ran by idiots and you pretend to care about the rules you'll be fine. Yes sometimes unlucky things happen like the Kappa situation where the baby was unfortunately hit by a car. What is the university supposed to do in that situation? Keep your stuff on the dl, make good decisions and watch out for your brothers/sisters.
