Having five different tiers is unhelpful to anyone not actually IN the Greek system. If PNMs look at this site, what they want to know is who to aim for and who to avoid.

Any girl self-respecting girl would kill for a bid from the top six (in alphabetical order: APhi, DG, Kappa, KD, PiPhi, Theta), would settle for three (alphabetical, AGD, ChiO, DDD), and would want to avoid the remaining eight (...everyone else).

I think you're pretty dead on, although I might switch Kappa and Theta. Also I wouldn't necessarily say KD is the best, but I guess I would also put them there by default because PiPhi, DG, and APhi aren't quite number one yet either. Those three are without a doubt rising though, and if we look at the pledge classes that have come through these sororities through the past several formal and informal recruitments it's very clear how much they have improved. They are taking girls that are just not drawn to Theta or Kappa anymore.

That is certainly not to say that Theta or Kappa are falling off the map by any means. They are still and will always be at the top with the other four, but it is very evident that they have moved around a bit within the Top Six.

I think that not being able to pin a solid Number One house is actually a good thing, because it means that Ohio State has SIX really great, popular, and strong sororities that attract the best girls during recruitment.

agreed with who's in the "top six", but let's not forget about the rest of the sororities. pnms can find a good home in any of ohio state's sororities, even if they aren't the most social or popular.

but I agree with what you're saying about there not really being a number one sorority. each of those six are all really strong, maybe in different ways, but i don't think it's really possible to name one as the absolute best house anymore, because if were being honest with ourselves each one has its own downside. that's probably why no one can agree on a true ranking of the top sororities, because they're all good (and bad) in different ways. we don't have a number one best house, or even a unanimous top three order anymore, but now we have six houses that any girl going through recruitment wants to be in.

i'd definitely claim kd as the top house at osu. followed by kappa and theta. then, followed by dg, aphi, and pi phi.

What do you guys really think makes a "top 6 house" ??

And..what exactly is required for girls to get bids from them..I have seen girls from a few "top 6 houses" and they don't seem overly special so i was just wondering what the hell kind of qualities these houses look for that make them so 'elite'

sounds like you're a PNM, in which case get off this site and go through recruitment just being yourself. You'll end up where you're meant to be.

I'm actually a senior at osu who is just fascinated by this site and the amount of time people take to bash each other. just wonder the thought process here of all of you who are ranking these houses

as far as mid tier goes,ddd,xo, and agd are somewhat similar in that they take the remains that of the top 6.however,as opposed to some opinions,i think ddd leads the mid tier pack.they've made a huge turn around in the type of girls they've been recruiting. chi o may have had gw with tke last year but really what else do they do? i never see them out.agd needs to work on better recruiting but i suppose they have potential.
