sorority comments

there are valid criticisms on this website (like issues with philanthropy, dirty rushing, talking about house drama/other houses in public, or questionable drunken behavior) and then there are those people who insist on being mean, superficial, spiteful, and using old derogitory stereotypes that for the most part arent even true anymore. I just wish people would stop making hateful comments or givings al 1s or all 5s, since clearly no sorority at OSU is either of those.

To the PNMs (and actives that need to be reminded):
Every house has partiers. Every house has studiers. Every house has girls who don't miss a Bible Study, and girls who don't set foot inside a place of worship for fear of lightning striking it. In your house, there are going to be girls you don't like, and girls you love. Every house has girls who own the entire MAC line of products, and girls who consider Burt's Bees makeup. Some girls will date all the time, some will have to borrow other sisters' male friends every year for formal. Some girls will do things you don't agree with, and you'll either confront it or let it go. But go into it with an open mind, and give it a shot. Because, even i sometimes I can't believe I joined a sorority, there's nothing in this world that can compare.

Understand that different frats have different favorites, and reasons for their favorites. Hanging with frats is just one part of being in a sorority, not the be all and end all. Don't forget, most of the time you will be with the members of your sorority. Find a sorority that has the balance you want. And yes, I enjoy our TG's and parties with the frats, I am not a bitter betty. Just realistic. :)
