But I do want to point out, especially to girls rushing fall who are reading this that honestly, sometimes "top tier" is not what is best for YOU - which is always what should be your motivating factor in joining a sisterhood for the rest of your entire life.

This is just my opinion after observing the greek system as a sorority girl for about two years and I hope it doesn't offend anyone but it is just my own opinion.

I'm a senior this year, and there are some places i'd have to disagree with you, based on the last few recruitments and the girls I know in each house (obviously I dont know everyone)

i went through some spring events but decided i didn't have enough information to decide about a sorority yet. is it weird to go back to houses in the fall since you already visited some them once or twice in spring?

no, it's not weird. just be honest about your experience and keep your mind open

Based on looks/popularity:
Theta, DG, Pi Phi, Kappa
KD, Chi O
A Phi, DDD
AGD, AXO
Fuzzie, AOPi
AEPhi, DZ

Based on personality/sisterhood/genuine-ness
Chi O, DDD, AOPi- probably the nicest, most genuine groups of girls
AXO, DZ, KD- a lot of personality but some in-house drama
Fuzzie, Theta- thetas are mostly fun, fuzzies are mostly cool but both can be mean to other houses and even their own girls
AEPhi- some great girls, but a lot that are cliquey and backstabbing
Kappa, Alpha Phi, AGD- a mixed bag but there are a lot of negative opinions about these houses around the greek community
DG, Pi Phi- these girls may be hot, but they're not what you'd call laid back and they dont like each other

"well" is completely wrong on almost all levels

AOPi is most definitely not hotter than AEPhi or DZ if you think so you have got to be blind.

I agree with the Chi O stuff but I haven't heard about much AXO drama and Fuzzies just are not cream of the crop girls...its not that they are mean... Saying that Alpha Phi is not respected by the greek community is stupid as most fraternities REALLY like them.. Saying that DG girls dont like each other is also a false claim

sounds to me like you are in some low leveled sorority trying to bring out negatives in other houses that most def. are nottt truee

I like the way it was ranked and even if you don't fully agree, you have to admit it's something different.

AOPi usually IS ranked higher than DZ and AEPhi, even back in the Juicycampus days.
APhi girls only hang out with frat guys and you always hear about the in house drama in APhi, AXD, AEPhi and DG.
I don't agree with Theta though... they have always been completely nice to everyone I know.

during informal recruitment can you get more than one bid? which houses arent giving bids?

You can get bids from evey house you visit, theoretically, as long as you go to each house more than once (or twice, depending on the sorority's policy). Check out the calendar on the PHA website to see who's having events-- if they're having more than 2 events, they're probably giving bids.
