bids
by: PNMIf I were to accept a bid somewhere, and drop out before initiation, can I still rush next year and would it impact my chances of getting into a different house? Like would they know, or see that as a flaw?

Chapters won't look at you any differently - sometimes you think you really like a chapter so you join it then realize it's not for you. Trust me, with so many different chapters at Ohio State it's easy to get lost in the mix and easily persuaded. If you don't feel at home, don't get initiated and try again next year.

your chances are automatically reduced because you are a sophomore and no longer a freshman.. not specially because you dropped another chapter. If you first join a 'top tier' chapter and drop that thinking you want another 'top tier', you will 99% not get that, they will want their choice of the freshman. However, the middle tiers would be happy to have you if you belong there better. :)

all the chapters on campus are notified of which one you accepted a bid from and that you dropped. it's seen as being disloyal and although this site portrays all the houses as being separate entities, they are one community who supports one another.
