For all of the pnms who think they'll get their pick of top tier houses to choose from, get ready for a wake up call. The real cuts are happening tomorrow, and they're gonna be steep. Out of the 1200 pnms that started...
Top tier: invited 500 to philanthropy round, and will have 300 (or less) at sisterhood
Middle tier: had 750 at philanthropy, will have about 400 at sisterhood
Bottom tier: had 1000 at philanthropy, will have around 600 for sisterhood
There are NO guarantees in recruitment. You need to do your best at every house, no matter what tier they're in because you could totally end up there

Every PNM needs to do her best at every house. Us actives know when you are not interested (I've had a few of my sisters complain that PNMs wouldn't even answer direct questions). If you're going to be rude, we will cut you. This goes for any house. Additionally, chapters pick you. Mutual selection is not even. Good luck ladies.

It might not have had anything to do with you not fitting but whether they knew that 500 other girls would be a better fit. The chapters that have had to make deep cuts have been planning for months. They are inviting back girls that they know, girls that had stellar recommendations and girls that are sure bets.

There's a chance you might only be asked back to 1-2 of the top houses (PiPhi, Kappa, DG) and either KD or Chi O. Prepare for that, because if you do better then it'll be a pleasant surprise!

The cuts are designed to avoid leading you on. That way you stop concentrating on houses that are not interested in you and start focusing on the sisterhood you can get from a house that really wants you.
I know this is not what your 19 year old self wants to hear but it's for the best that the cuts will be deep for Saturday.
