why so much kd hate?
by: pnmAs a pnm I've tried going into rush as open minded as possible, without having my heart set on getting a bid only from the "Big 5". However, I've found that while a couple of my favorites do sit in the top tier, I've found some other favorites a little lower on the list, one of those being kappa delta. Although kd isn't any Kappa or DG, all the actives I've been interviewed by during rush have been cute and easy to talk to, and all my friends seem to feel the same. My question is, what brings the negativity? From a pnm's perspective they don't seem to be quite as put together as the traditional top tier (looks, house, etc) but by no means do they seem comparable to middle tier houses like agd or tridelt (they're much less awkward, seem more social, and cuter for the most part). Is KD really that frowned upon?

100% truth from me because you seem very genuine and confused lol. I am an upperclassmen in a "top tier" and what I have noticed from KDs is that they try very, very hard. I know many and can genuinely say I like none of them nor would I spend time with them outside of a bar setting for longer than a few minutes. They are the top tier rejects so they try to rep KD as hard as possible but they're very transparent.
But hey a sororities rep can always be changed, I wish them luck and hope they get a kick ass pc so the new girls can hopefully salvage the mess of a pc they got last year.

dont listen to the KDhater troll above me. KD is really fun, they have a lot of hot, super cool chicks. Great to party with and spend time with.
The hate on KD, literally, is just people coming on Greekrank to troll them. Seriously. It's like the hate on every one else here - just internet trolling.
Bottom line is, KD is sick, and they are an awesome group of girls.

my best friend is in KD. from what i can tell, the chapter is pretty divided. half of the chapter wants to be known as being "top tier" and will do anything to protect that. this half of the chapter is bratty and solely cares about image. the other half is a mix of really nice and down to earth girls who don't care about tiers. if you like KD, that is totally fine! you can find your niche in there. but my friend's friends have steadily been deactivating because of this divide so i would just keep all this in mind. but what the other person said, your pledge class could be the one to turn it all around. good luck!
