A lot of pnms are hoping to be Top Tier, so here's a breakdown of what your schedules should be like if you hope to make it in.

House Tours - you will see all 15 houses. major cuts are made after this round based on gpa (especially theta and chi o).

Philanthropy Round - you will be asked back to a maximum of 11 houses. You want to have:
at least 4 of the 5 top tier houses,
3 of the 4 middle tier,
only 4 of the 6 bottom tier.
Basically, if you don't go back to AOPi on the 2nd round, you're good.

Sisterhood Round - you will see a max of 7 houses. This is when it gets real, and a lot of people drop.
You want to have:
at least 3 of the 5 top houses,
2-3 of the 4 middle tier,
only 1-2 bottom houses left.

Pref Round - the final stretch, people. it's obvious...
You want to have:
2-3 top tier houses,
maybe 1 middle tier.

If you do your best and shine at the top tier houses, then it'll be this easy to get in. Don't think that you have to carry every top house the whole way. Most top tier girls have this experience above, and we made it!

when you put it that way, it doesn't sound that bad. which houses should I drop though? does order matter that much?

if you look at it strategically, depending on what you want and if youre dedicated to being "top tier" I would always keep alpha phi around, theyre the least selective bc dg, kappa, and pi phi all cut heavily and theta has to bid legacies the last day, so alpha phi is the wild card.

then for the middle Id always keep ChiO or Tridelt. KD's list is based off of whats leftover from the top so its unpredictable (plus theyre annoying) and AGD isnt as good as any of those three.

Honestly, if you think you "cut" chapters, you are delusional. Chapters cut you.

You can put chapters in the bottom each round, but that doesn't mean you won't have to go back there. Be smart about the order you rank those in. Put your absolute least favorite at the bottom so you have a better chance of escaping

IF, and that is a big if, you are invited back to all houses for the Philanthropy Round, most PNMs will go back to all top and mid tier houses, plus 2 bottom houses. So after the House Tours, your decisions will come down to which houses at the bottom you would like to return to when ranking.

Based on how many top and mid tiers ask you back will determine how deep into the lower tier you need to visit during Philanthropy.

For those that don't know, what you will do after House Tours is rank your 11 favorite houses at #1. After the top 11, you rank 2, 3, 4, so there isn't much of an order at that point.

But this mutual selection process isn't as mutual as PNMs think. There's no strategy to get into a top tier, if they don't like you they will cut you. Same as any house.

Be UNIQUE. Make sure you stand out among the pnms you're paired with and think of good stories to tell during recruitment that will be memorable. That's how you get into a good house!

And don't be rude to any house no matter how good you think you are.
