can't wait

I am so excited to go through recruitment, I can't wait to pledge!! but I just found out about recs and how at other schools basically you need one to even get a second look. Am I doomed? Why doesn't OSU require recs. Now I'm getting very nervous because I'm not a legacy and I don't have any recs. Any advice???

If you look at most schools' websites, they say they don't require them either. It's not impossible to get a bid anywhere without them but they definitely help when it comes to voting.
BTW... legacies really don't matter either. You get an invite back to the 2nd round but that's your only guarantee. Its also no secret that if you invited back to a chapter for Pref and you are a legacy, you must be on their first bid list.

You don't need recs. Legacies aren't guaranteed a thing.
