informal fall rush

by: PNM

So my GPA is too low to rush for spring this year, because chemistry really messed me up. I still want to go through rush, so could someone explain to me how informal recruitment in the fall works? Who to get in contact with etc

Basically the houses that don't make quota at the start of fall semester (whether they didn't have a full pledge class from formal recruitment, or they had a lot of girls drop out) will be the only houses who participate. Last year it was 4, year before it was 5 or 6. PHA will announce the chapters participating, and most of those houses will announce either through social media/ current members/ the involvement fair when their informal events are. The pledge classes will be much smaller, depending on the house, anywhere from 4-20

This is not correct. It has nothing to do with quota and everything to do with chapter TOTAL.

PHA will set a new total in September. All chapters that don't have TOTAL, can have parties to recruit for informal. Some chapters will have only a few openings and will have invitation-only parties (typically friends of girls in the chapter). Other chapters will have more openings and will have open parties at the start of informal and invite-only pref parties.

It varies which chapters do informal since it will depend on how many seniors graduate in the Spring and whether girls go inactive or don't return to OSU. There are chapters right now with HUGE senior classes.

I will tell you that not every chapter that is eligible to do informal will do it. I think a couple of years ago Chi O had a couple of openings and chose not to do informal because generally doing Informal is a pain.
