Pi Phi: Only a daughter, sister or granddaughter of an initiated member shall be considered a legacy of Pi Beta Phi. A legacy shall be invited to at least one invitational round of formal recruitment. A legacy who attends a Preference event shall be placed on the chapter’s first bid list.
Kappa: A legacy is the sister, daughter, granddaughter, or great-granddaughter of an initiated Kappa. If a legacy is invited to the final (preference) round, her name must be included on the bid list above the quota break.
Delta Gamma: Granddaughters, daughters, sisters or the same step-relations of Delta Gamma members are considered Delta Gamma legacies. A legacy attending the preference event will be included on the first bid list.
Kappa Alpha Theta: mother, sister, grandmother, or great-grandmother of a PNM. Unless a legacy does not meet the chapter’s GPA requirement, she will receive an automatic invitation to Round II. Although a legacy will be on the chapter’s Bid List, a bid is not guaranteed.
Tri Delta: a daughter, step-daughter, sister or step-sister of a Tri Delta member. it's up to each individual chapter to decide how they take legacy status into consideration when selecting their members

ChiO: A Chi Omega legacy is a daughter or a sister of an initiated member in good standing. If the Legacy is asked back for the preference party, she automatically goes to the top of the bid list.
Alpha Phi: A legacy is any granddaughter, great-granddaughter, daughter, stepdaughter, sister or stepsister of an initiated Alpha Phi member. All legacies will receive an invitation to the first invitational round of recruitment on campuses with more than one invitational event. Any Alpha Phi legacy that accepts Alpha Phi's invitation to a preference party must be placed on the chapter's first bid list.
AGD: A legacy is a woman in a family relationship such as a daughter, sister or granddaughter to an AΓΔ member in Good Standing. A legacy must be invited back to the first invitational round of events.
KD: A KD legacy is the daughter, granddaughter or sister of an initiated member in good standing. A member in good standing is a member who has not resigned or is not on National Probation. Half and step relations are considered legacies if their KD family member in good standing considers them as such. If a legacy accepts an invitation to a KD Preference event, she will be placed on the chapter’s first bid list without exception.

Alpha Xi Delta: Granddaughter, daughter, sister or niece of an Alpha Xi Delta member in good standing. There are instances when women are related to an Alpha Xi by step or half-relations resulting from blended or other non-traditional family structures. Any legacy attending the final Preference round must be placed on the first bid list.
Alpha Chi Omega: A legacy to Alpha Chi Omega is a sister, daughter, granddaughter or greatgranddaughter of a member. The Alpha Chi Omega member and her family member define their legacy relationship, i.e. step relations, blended families, etc. An undergraduate legacy who meets membership standards and eligibility requirements is considered a preferred candidate and: [a] Is invited to the first invitational round of events during the formal recruitment process. [b] Is invited to at
least one recruitment event in an informal or continuous recruitment process. A legacy who attends a formal recruitment preference event is placed on the first bid list by the collegiate chapter.
Gamma Phi Beta: A sister, daughter, granddaughter or great-granddaughter shall be given special consideration for membership by the chapter on the campus where she is enrolled. For the purpose of definition, stepdaughters, stepsisters, step-granddaughters and step-g reatgranddaughters may be considered legacies, if desired by the Gamma Phi Beta relative. Special consideration means that a legacy will be invited to at least the first invitational round of events. If a legacy is invited to the Preference round of recruitment, she will be extended an invitation to pledge Gamma Phi Beta, thus her name will be placed alphabetically on the chapter’s first bid list.

Delta Zeta : legacy shall be defined as a sister/step-sister, daughter/step-daughter, granddaughter/step-granddaughter or great granddaughter/step-great granddaughter. A legacy shall be invited to at least one invitational formal recruitment event, provided she meets the chapter’s GPA requirement. A legacy receiving an invitation to the preference event shall be placed on the top of chapter’s bid list.
AEPhi: A legacy is a great-granddaughter, granddaughter, daughter or sister of an AEPhi, without regard to chapter. This includes step granddaughters, daughters and sisters and half sisters. Cousins and nieces are not considered legacies. If a chapter has not achieved quota in formal recruitment or has not followed the Legacy Policy for any given year, it is required to bid all legacies for the next two years. A legacy SHOULD BE INVITED TO ALL PARTIES UP TO PREFERENCE, or at least two invitational rounds. If she is invited to preference, she MUST appear on the first bid list.
AOPi: A legacy is defined as a sister, daughter, or granddaughter; a step-sister, step-daughter, or step-granddaughter; or an adopted sister, daughter, or granddaughter of an initiated member of Alpha Omicron Pi (alive or deceased). In no case should a legacy be denied an invitation to at least one invitational event after the first round of events. If a legacy accepts an invitation to the final preference party, her name is to be placed on the chapter’s quota list (also known as first bid list).
