transfer student

by: MuckFichigan

If you are initiated into a fraternity at another school, are you required to join the fraternity you were initiated into if you were to transfer schools? Will other fraternities not allow you to join?

Currently a freshman(and pledge) at BGSU, my goal is to be at tOSU next year and join one of the top tier houses.
I can always just drop, but I've made some friends and if you aren't Greek here you're pretty much screwed in terms of going out.

Thanks in advance

the only fraternity you can join if youve been initiated into another is TKE, but I dont think the OSU TKEs extend bids like that very often and you should check to see if they are allowed to extend a bid to you if youre current chapter is present at our school.

Most fraternities have it in their national by laws that you can't join if you have been initiated into another fraternity. Unless the fraternity you are pledging at BGSU is one that you are interested in at OSU I would drop.
