Not difficult, just much harder to get into the top tier houses. Middle tiers and below won't care at all (if you belong there, they will be happy to have you). If you have more in common with middle or lower tier chapters, you will be placed where you belong and where you would have ended up even if you were a freshman. In the end, you end up where you fit best. HOWEVER, if you fit in best in a top tier chapter, you may/most likely will get bumped down to the middle tier (even thought you would have gotten into that top house if you were a freshman).
