Current state of Greek life

So of you don’t know what the Greek life used to be like so you need a quick reality check.

Back in 2017 the school waged war against the Greek life and tried to destroy it by kicking off all the top frats like old tke, phi psi, kap sig and sammy. All these frats tried to continue the legendary legacy as off campus frats or by merging/rechartering as other frats some were more successful than others….

The lower tier and newly chartered frats saw this as an opportunity to rise. A lot of these frats were basically sponsored by the school to push the no fun, no real pledging process that the school wanted (KDR,Beta,Etc). They also were no longer to pair with the top sororities officially or else the sorority would get in trouble. They would also spread false rumors about this off campus or “merged” frats and call the cops on them to try and give them a bad reputation so people wouldn’t go and they would eventually die out. On top of this the school also continued harassing the former big 4 frats to try and erase them for existence threatening suspension and even legal action. Clubs like Delt used to be the 6th best frat back when the REAL frats used to exist but now people claim they are the best due to the complete destruction of the Greek life.

There is still a chance to restore the Greek life to the amazing experience it used to be. Stop supporting frats that don’t have real leading process, go to “unregistered” parties, go against all of the anti fun rules that were placed on Greek life. It’s embarrassing what OSU Greek life has become compared to other schools and it’s up to us to change it….
