informal gpa

I'm thinking of going through informal rush in the fall, but my GPA is a 2.8. How much will that weigh in on houses decisions on me ? Could I still get a bid?

It honestly depends on the sorority and you. First of all, not all chapters will be doing informal, and it's up to the ones that are. Some are more strict during formal as a way to cut more girls, but some just have a higher GPA requirement. I was in the same boat. If you think you can raise it after next semester, I highly recommend waiting until formal. That's what I did and I loved it. But you can always go through informal and not accept a bid and then go through formal.

You are a grade risk. During informal, there are more PNMs than there are openings (Remember last year how girls were begging even to get into Fuzzy?). We can be more choosy and it will definitely be hard to get a bid if you are under a 3.0. Just telling the truth.
