fraternity informal fall rush

Sophomore transfer for the fall. Are the top fraternities holding rush? usually how many people do they take in the fall? and since freshmen cant rush fall is it still competitive?

I think almost every fraternity does fall rush including the top tier (Phi Psi, TKE, Delta Sig). Less people rush since freshmen can't, but it's still pretty competitive because the class sizes are smaller as well (10-20).

i rushed a top house in the fall, and my pledge class started with ~10 people.

its much better in my opinion, because you get to know your pledge bros and actives much better.

might be visiting from new york next month to check out the campus. Ill be a transfer, does it make sense to contact fraternities already for my visit or just wait for fall?
