by: ??Now that it's preference round, about how many girls do the sororities take? I heard 40-50. But I also heard some chapters like theta are only taking 30.

Honestly, where are you PNMs hearing all of the nonsense this year?
ALL chapters want to make quota. ALL.OF.THEM. OSU and their nationals also stress making quota.
There is nothing good associated with not making quota. It opens the sorority to ridicule as taking less than quota will be seen as a negative. It can also stress the sorority financially, as budgets are based on certain membership numbers expectations.
