ladies
by: PNMsLadies, as it comes closer to the top 3 try to open your fricken eyes and see houses (ALPHA PHI) who literally put on a show during recruitment and act like they are all best friends and then they secretly hate each other which you will find out after bid day. I'm just trying to warn you all. They are one of the only sorority stereotypes that really applies to 99% of their house, all the other chapters are great!Beware THEY WILL TRICK YOU
#1by: Why
In all seriousness, why can't the girls who get bids from Alpha Phi turn that stereotype right around? Is there no sisterhood between the different pledge classes? Or is there no sisterhood period. I don't understand what's so horrible about their sisterhood considering they all seemed very friendly towards each other during recruitment.
#2by: yes
i agree I want to know that too. How come the new pledge classes every year don't eventually change that? No girl goes into recruitment purposely trying to not have a good sisterhood with their sisters. and alpha phi couldn't possibly find girls who would do that purposely either and then bid them. So how does that stereotype stay real year after year?
#7by: honest opinion
If you believe that you are going to join a sorority and never have any problems or disagreements then honey I am sorry you have another thing coming to you. Every sorority has sisterhood problems and it is going to happen naturally. Whenever you are with a group of people for a long amount of time a lot problems will arise. The only reason Alpha Phi is being attacked is because a minority of girls in that sorority may have volcalized their frustration and people overheard and of course they are going to start to spread a lot of rumors about Alpha Phi's sisterhood. The bigger picture that I believe that people are leaving out is that you can choose to stay away from drama. How do you think the girls in Pi Phi who have kitchen duty during recruitment feel about their sisterhood? What about the girls in DG who got railroaded during their scandal? We can talk about the divide in Theta between the girls who go out all of the time vs. the girls who are primarily interested in academia. In Kappa you mostly only hang out with your pledge classes and outside pledge classes don't mix that much. KD also has their share of problems as well. No sorority is perfect, but pick your sorority based on recruitment and getting to know the girls not the opinions of anonymous girls in rival sororities. If you wanted a girl to join your sorority wouldn't you exaggerate all of the other sororities problems to make yourself look better.

Well yes those things and that point may very well be true. But it's the fact that it is so far stressed about specifically alpha phi about how bad their sisterhood is. It's not like it is known that they have a few problems but is still a great thing to be a part of like the other chapters. Alpha phi is the only one who is constantly said that if you were in it you would wish you had picked a different chapter after the fun of recruitment is over. That is what is confusing to the new girls

my older sister explained it like this. If you have a bad sisterhood it will rub off on younger girls and to feel included theyll get really clicky with their bigs, etc. She said its a constant cycle that the older girls have to break, and from what this website says and from her time at osu she says its only gone downhill at alpha phi
