I don’t get why kkg is ranked low a lot. Going through recruitment all of the girls were pretty, really nice, and seemed super fun. and their house is amazing. Someone please explain.

did you forget about the 4 years kappa was kicked off because of hazing and then had to recruit a whole new chapter informally because they weren’t allowed to do formal recruitment until 2019 ?? must be a freshman smh

Honestly I think it’s partially a few things.

1. people want to give the “newbies” on campus some push back because it’s how it goes.
2. they did come in hot and try to shove themselves back into greek life and claim to be super important. The way they initially carried themselves & the way some of their members talked about other chapters the first year or so specifically wasn’t a good look.
3. (100% based off what my boyfriend has told me), they have mixed reputations with frats in the sense that they just don’t enjoy partnering with them.
4. chapters actually voted against letting Kappa back yet a few years ago. All the chapters voted and they didn’t want them back yet, but student life overruled it and let them back. I know some girls in my chapter were incredibly annoyed about them ignoring their vote and that they let them back so quickly.


Yes they’re “rising”, I guess, but not at the speed or level they expect. It’s all just drama. Unless you’re like the “best of the best” or the “bottom for no reason”, your rank is irrelevant and people just argue over it for no reason.

It doesn't seem fair to hold things that happened a few years ago against them, especially when there are girls who really enjoy Kappa. There are things wrong with all sororities.
They are definitely only middle tier though.

Kappa is a great middle tier sorority!! There is no reason to hate on them! There’s nothing wrong either with not being a “top house” they’re great girls who deserve equal respect with everyone else!
