informal recruitment 2020

So due to personal reasons, I was unable to complete formal recruitment this year. I’m super sad and still want to join the greek community. Is informal recruitment worth it or should i just stick it out until formal next year?

If you know which sorority you'd like to be in (or a few), do informal because it is easier to get in. Also a lot less work. The events are like hey come hang out and eat ice cream with us (like frat rush). However, keep in mind not EVERY sorority will participate in informal.

When does informal take place? When will we know who’s participating in informal?

You won't know until late summer because it all depends on if the chapter has enough members (determined at the end of spring semester). BUT some might do mini informal ("continuous open bidding") through one-on-one coffee type dates after today because they don't have enough members after bid day so be on the lookout

Try it. It doesn’t hurt at all to do it then do formal if it doesn’t work out. You get to know girls a lot better during informal.
