should i try formal rush again?

I did formal last year and I really didn't like any of the houses I was left with, so I dropped. I tried informal last spring and this fall and again nothing worked out. Should I just give up? I really want to be in a sorority, but I also don't want to get really sad again hahaha

you should try it again! there's no harm in it, you know what to expect, and lots of sophomores do formal rush but just keep an open mind :))

I’m in the exact same predicament!!! I really want to be in a sorority, but after formal last year I was lowkey depressed for all of second semester. I think I’m going to do it and keep expectations low

Do it! Try to reconsider why you didn’t like the sororities that invited you back. Remember that recruitment is only two weekends, and sisterhood is for life. There is so much more to learn and love about every sorority!

I did this and was so upset for so long about not finding my home. I didn’t realize the perfect place in front of me because it wasn’t the “top tier” house, and I hate myself for it. I wish I just went through the first time with the houses I had because my perfect fit was in front of me the entire time. Don’t go in with the “I don’t like the houses i have left” mindset because you don’t know them well enough to even know that.
