greek life history
by: get realEnough people dont realize how much greek life changes in what I'd say is a ten year period, people are always trying to say how this or that chapter have been "the best" of years, and its not true. Prior to their house being built and the campaign to raise that money Phi Psi wasnt doing so hot for awhile/ in the 90's it was "If you can't go Greek go TKE"/ girls chapters fled OSU in the late 80s and 90s which dramatically changed the rankings/ until they were kicked off FIGI was a top house at OSU, living in the beautiful house next to TKE with Jack Nickolas as an alumni/ and Sammy wasnt anything until Wexner built them that house. Chapters come and go, and its sad to see brother and sisterhoods go through these troubles, but others will fill the void and the only hope we can have is that they learn from others' mistakes

Kappa Sigma, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Alpha Tau Omega, Fiji’s and SAE, were all shutdown for atleast one year. Now all of these fraternities are paired (or could be paired) with sororities for football block, greek week, or homecoming. Houses get in trouble all the times, the reason that there was the top tier group was because they had gone the longest without these problems, but now Beta and Sammy are gone and SigChi is going to be dramatically changed, so they will go from being top, to bottom for a year, then middle until those above them get kicked off. It's just the cycle of greek life here because of the way the administration operates.

The phi psi house was built in the 1990s. The oldest house is the old Fiji house which is next to the KDR/TKE house. It is now an apartment building.
